19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his initial trophy for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has had a torrid season, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from spring of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on court had led some to wonder if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to force a final set.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a close final set before the champion won the break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
